I am a life-long student of biblical texts with a particular love for the Hebrew Bible (Christian Old Testament). I am especially interested in views of the divine realm and its inhabitants in the Second Temple period and later (e.g., Yahweh's court, the hidden host of heaven, how Yahweh was seen to rule by delegating power and responsibility, sacred geography, etc.).
Although my degrees are in theology (Th.B, MA.Th), I've worked extensively with biblical Hebrew and Greek throughout my studies and afterward: with Ken Penner, I co-authored a transcription and translation of Isaiah in Codex Marchalianus and a subsequent article in JSCS. I've also digitally aligned Hebrew/English and Greek/English text for a number of HB/OT translations for Faithlife (Logos).
I currently live in Port Clyde, NS with my wife, Laverne, our great dane, and bearded dragon. Recently, I've been reviewing books for RSR and studying Syriac in my downtime.
